You are invited to a “Grave Affair”- save the date for the 19th Annual Talking Tombstone Tour- May 6th, 11:00-4:00 at the Old City Greenwood Cemetery.Whether you are a history buff, love sculpture, interesting cemetery symbolism, or just want to enjoy the pretty scenery, a visit to historic Old City Greenwood Cemetery during the Talking Tombstone Tour is a must. It is during this tour that the Silent Citizen’s speak to you about their lives andtheir secrets. You will be listening to the voices of the past. %This cemetery was formerly established by the Weatherford Town Council in 1863 when lots were surveyed and the exact cemetery location was staked. The City Commission directed burial plots be laid out, although the land had been soused for several years. %Plots sold for $10.00 each, or $.50 per foot
